Aeronet Relocates Chicago Station to New Facility

The move allows for better access to ORD, as well as an expansion of almost 25,000 square feet.

Aeronet Worldwide®, one of the leading providers of global logistics solutions, has relocated its Chicago area station to Roselle, IL. The move puts the newly opened location within 5 miles of O’Hare International Airport (ORD), with quicker access to and from, thanks to its close proximity to the Illinois Route 390 Tollway.

The brand new facility marks a significant expansion in physical space, increasing from 4,700 square feet to 29,643. That difference includes warehousing space specifically equipped to handle ocean containers. Chicago has long been the country’s foremost transportation hub, thanks to its rail line, and nowhere is this more apparent than in ocean freight. This move on the part of Aeronet is representative of the company’s larger focus on that sector.

Aeronet will be adding to its personnel for the new location, under the leadership of General Manager Andrew Hurcombe, who joined the company earlier this year. Mr. Hurcombe has over 20 years in the logistics industry, most of it spent in and around the Chicago area.

This expansion of space, personnel, and scope is part of the company’s overall growth plan, which has seen similar expansions across the country and internationally. It also reflects both the ambition and the confidence that has allowed for Aeronet’s evolution over the course of its 35 years in the industry.
