Make-A-Wish Gift Receives Help from the Logistics Industry

Aeronet and others work together to deliver exercise equipment to a young boy in need in Connecticut.

One of the benefits of being a global logistics solutions provider is having the resources to provide help to people and causes in ways that extend beyond simple business transactions. Throughout its 35-year-history, Aeronet Worldwide® has considered itself fortunate to use its capabilities to help those in need, as was a recent case involving the Make-A-Wish foundation in Connecticut.

When one of Aeronet’s clients in the medical device market needed to ship some new high-tech exercise equipment to a young boy in Connecticut diagnosed with terminal cancer, everyone along the supply chain worked together to ensure the speedy and safe delivery of the cargo to the boy and his family.

The ICAROS exercise equipment was transported from San Francisco International (SFO) to Bradley International (BDO). Aeronet arranged the logistics at no cost, while Forward Air likewise conducted the line haul for free. KMB Enterprises and Exposed GmbH also contributed to the effort. The delivery arrived at the boy’s family home on May 2nd. The willingness on all parties’ behalf to come together in order to make this delivery has been an inspiration to all involved.

Catherine Pavao, The Trade Show Manager at Aeronet who helped put the pieces together, said of the experience, “Everyone has been so great with this. It has really touched me. God bless Aeronet and Make-A-Wish. I hope the young man gets to use this equipment until it is worn out!”
