Aeronet Worldwide Partners for Service between the U.S. and Taiwan

Aeronet Worldwide® has announced its third partnership for import/export services between the United States and Asia. Aeronet previously arranged transport agreements for the U.S.-China and U.S.-Hong Kong trade lanes. This latest agreement focuses on shipments between the United States and Taiwan.

Taiwan is a thriving democracy, and a highly attractive trade market. In 2016, Taiwan was ranked as the United States’ 10th largest trading partner in goods. Additionally, it was the 14th largest U.S. export market, overall. Exports to Taiwan had increased to $26.04 billion, and $39.31 billion for imports, with a trade surplus with the United States of $13.26 billion.

The U.S. is Taiwan’s second largest trading partner (China is first), accounting for 12.15% of total trade. “We are extremely happy to add Taiwan as our newest joint venture, and eager to work even more with our overseas partners,” commented Anthony N. Pereira, Aeronet Worldwide’s Chairman and CEO.

A fourth U.S.-Asia agreement, pertaining to Vietnam, is currently in development.
