Aeronet Worldwide Part of Inaugural Flight for Air Tanzania Freighter

In June of 2023, Air Tanzania received its first Boeing 767-300 freighter. Before its inaugural flight, from Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), freight procured by Aeronet was loaded into the cargo hold (see video from local Tanzania news footage, below).

Cargo Details:

  • 37 crates – 63,011 lbs. (28,582 kgs)
  • Commodity: Manta® node seismic system with lithium ion batteries (UN3481)
  • Client: PXGEO
  • Agent: Magellan Logistics Tanzania Ltd.
  • Carrier: National Air Cargo (in conjunction with Air Tanzania Cargo)
  • Cargo flew from Julius Nyerere International Airport, Tanzania (DAR); through Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Azerbaijan (GYD); arriving in the U.S. at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago (ORD). From there, the cargo was transported, via truck, to Houston.
