Aeronet Denver Contributes to Feeding Homeless this Thanksgiving

Donations for the Turkey Drive

In a year where many aspects of life have either been put on hold, drastically reduced, or just cancelled, Aeronet Denver continued its tradition of donating to a local shelter still committed to feeding the homeless this time of year. The Denver Rescue Mission holds its annual Turkey Drive, which provides a Thanksgiving meal to thousands of hungry people in Colorado. Their goal is to provide 15,000 turkeys, as well as some of the other Thanksgiving Day staples that many of us are fortunate to enjoy with our families.

This year, Aeronet contributed 144 frozen turkeys and 1,125 pounds of dry goods. That is estimated to feed 2,000 people!

Aeronet Denver has been taking part in this event since 2007. Their involvement is in conjunction with local area elementary schools, as Aeronet’s Susie Wilkinson and Brian Wilkinson were part of the group of parent-volunteers who started this program as a way for the students to get involved in a community outreach project. This connection has been going strong ever since. Aeronet Denver, Susie and Brian, and General Manager Patrick Mulstay are proud to be able to give to this worthy cause. We are thankful, not only for them, but for organizations such as the Denver Rescue Mission.
